Terms and Conditions

QMT Tutor Link provides a platform for Tutors to be connected to students. Subjects and levels may vary and QMT Tutor Link will endeavour to always match tutors to suitable students.
All sessions are strictly to be conducted virtually and on NO occasion should a face-to-face meeting be arranged. QMT Tutor Link will not be responsible for any face-to-face meetings organised without their prior consent. Tutors should all remain aware that on some occasions, parents or guardians may be present during a student’s tutoring session and thus, the tutors must maintain a professional approach at all times.
All appointed Tutors will be responsible for the following:
• Resources and teaching materials are to be provided by the appointed tutor.
• To identify the student’s current knowledge level and to deliver content appropriately.
• To assess student’s progress and cover curriculum-specific content suitably.
• Be honest with your students – tell them if they need to increase their work levels.
• Equipping students with specific knowledge to enable them to achieve their target grades.
• Students/parents contact details must not be shared with third parties without prior consent, nor must they be used for any form of personal gain or communication.
You may opt to communicate with your student prior to the session to understand what they wish to work on, and at what level. This may prove better for you, as it will provide you an opportunity to prepare for the sessions. However, if this is not possible, then you may use the first session with the student to discuss their knowledge gaps or preferred topics to better gauge what they need help in.
Payments
Payments will be made monthly. In all instances, parents/students will make payments to QMT Tutor Link. Tutors must not seek to take direct payment from parents/students. If a Tutor requests direct payments from parents/students, they will be removed from the approved list of Tutors.
Online tuition – Technologies to use
Meetings can be setup using the following technologies, at the preference of the Tutor:
Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts, Uberconference, TeamViewer, Zoho Meeting , Skype, etc. Use a tool that is appropriate for the delivery of your content, and one that you are comfortable or experienced in using. In most cases, there will be a need to share your screen with your students and you may need to annotate on your (shared) screen.
An example of the above can be as follows;
A Zoom meeting shared with participants; launch an app called LiveBoard and annotate on your tablet with a stylus pen (or Apple iPad with iPencil). Alternative apps may be used instead of Liveboard – again use whatever you are comfortable or experienced in. or it could simply be writing on a whiteboard while your webcam is on, as long as it is conducted in a professional manner, it is sufficient. [Subscription version of LiveBoard allows PDFs and other documents to be uploaded and
annotated on the screen.]

Pastoral Support
QMT Tutor Link can provide some limited pastoral support where Tutors may request it. In some rare instances, Tutors may have safeguarding concerns and may seek to communicate them appropriately in a timely manner to QMT Tutor Link. In the same regard, students/parents may also get in touch with QMT Tutor Link to report any safeguarding concerns.

Feedback
Parents/students will be constantly monitored and asked for feedback regarding Tutors. It is the Tutors’ responsibility to uphold professional standards and professional dealings at all times. Tutors who receive regular unsatisfactory feedback will also be removed from the approved list of Tutors.
